Faux sunset created by city lights

Lights from the city of Seattle reflect off clouds during a time exposure, creating a false sunset for the camera to record. The photo was taken well after sunset, when it was fully dark.

  1. Unreal(and beautiful)! Was the scene really that bright?

  2. Hi Carol, it was actually quite dark, but the glow from the lights was distinctly noticeable; of course the time exposure allowed the camera to gather enough light to capture a bright image.
